Amsterdam Warriors is the biggest basketball club in Amsterdam Southeast, offering high quality basketball practices in an inclusive and supportive environment. Our coaches have extensive experience and knowledge based on years of development in basketball.

During the basketball classes, kids will learn the basics of this amazing sport, allowing them to increase their skill set and have a lot of fun. They will learn how to catch, shoot, dribble, jump and pass the basketball, guided by our best coaches.

Moreover, we would be happy to occasionally invite kids to our facility, where they would play games and tournaments.

In the dance studio club we are approaching dance in different ways. Sometimes focused, most of the time playful. Where learning choreographies, playing dance games and making performances with friends will lead to a better understanding of the artform of dance.
Gino is a dance professional that has worked at different schools and theatres all throughout the country. From the National Opera & Ballet, to Asylum centers, to primary and secondary schools in different cities. His primary goals in his classes are for the students to feel safe, free and inspired.

Welcome to Guitar Club: Advanced!
For students who can already play guitar and are motivated to take their skills to the next level. Priority will be given to students with Guitar Club experience.

Chess lessons for all levels

Always wanted to learn the best game in the world? Join the chess club! Playing chess is not only great fun, but it’s the best brain training you can find. During this course you will enhance your level of concentration, patience, and strategic insight. You will practice in planning (thinking before doing) and build your confidence. All these skills may come in handy in other parts of your life as well. The chess lessons are provided by Schaakplezier. We have several qualified chess trainers and assistants. During the lessons we use the booklets of the chess-step-method. So what can you expect during a chess-class? We will start with a brief introduction of today’s topic, followed by working in the booklet. After all that theory, it’s time to put that theory into practice: by playing actual games of chess. We are able to customize each chess lesson to the level of the children participating in the class. This way, the chess lessons will always be exactly challenging enough for students. Summary: a customized chess club for all levels of chess players with multiple qualified chess trainers and assistants.

The LEGO® Challenge program is designed to teach students between 6 and 11 years old about basic math, physics, and engineering with motorized LEGO®. The program will enable children to explore common principles that are applied to everyday inventions like the lever principle, centrifugal force, speed increasing and power increasing transmission and much, much more.

This is all done in a fun edutainment way where entertainment and education are cleverly mixed. We see that our students absorb the lessons because of the mix of stories and demonstrations.

The highlight of each lesson is the building stage of a model that demonstrates the lesson’s subject using LEGO® bricks and Technic LEGO®. During the lesson, each participant receives our unique Young Engineers kit which has been designed and manufactured especially for this purpose.

Joan runs Young Engineers Amsterdam. She is a certified Young Engineers trainer and has experience teaching kids and adults. Besides building with Legos she also loves reading and watching movies. Dutch language will be incorporated into the lesson.
