Club: Pending

The Little Artists Sculpture Club is dedicated to modelling and sculptural experimentation through 3D creation. A professional artist experienced in art education, will teach the club. The program is developed by Laurence Aëgerter, art historian and professional artist (www.laurenceaegerter.com), with an extensive experience in art education (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Hermitage and Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam).
Our Little Sculptors will develop their artistic skills to build 3-D works by using various techniques and materials (such as clay, cardboard, fabric, paper, bread dough etc.) Furthermore, they will explore their fantasy and gain self confidence in art making. Most of all they will have a lot of fun! 

Exploring art and cultures of Latin America
During this new term children will discover and explore aspects of art and culture from the vibrant Latin America. Art and archaeology from Central and South America will be the red line in their creative journey. This journey evolving from the Inca and the Mayan civilisations to the iconic paintings of Frida Kahlo. We will also invent new to-be-discovered animal species inspired by the rain forest… Let this workshop plant creative seeds for marvellous travels to come!

As little artists and adventurers during this sculpture club you will:
- Celebrate carnival like in Brazil
- Discover new animal species from unexplored parts of the Amazon rainforest
- Paint a self-portrait inspired by the extraordinary painter Frida Kahlo
- Discover the Mayan culture and their golden and precious stones masks
- Celebrate the ‘Dia de los Muertes’, the joyful Day of the Dead!
- Unravel archeological remains from the Incas civilization in the famous site of Machu Picchu
