Club: Film Crew Club (Group 4-7): Class 1
Kosten: €373,00
Over the last ten years, the media landscape has changed dramatically. Social media apps and filmmaking tools have become a fundamental part of our digital lives. Young people learn, socialize, explore their identities and engage with the world using their screens. Media literacy is now a basic literacy. In response to these developments, Film Crew Club offers hands-on classes in which we work with cameras, iPads and smartphones to explore animation and live action filmmaking. Students get a chance to act, direct, script, film, animate (2D & 3D), edit (iMovie), and create special effects in a wide range of media formats. Our media teams edit the material created in class and screen the final films each week to students. This creates a dynamic feedback loop that empowers learning. By making media together, students learn, first hand, how to look at it critically and how to engage with it safely and respectfully. Classes include playful exercises and games in which students learn to spot fake images, assess online content for risk, learn how editing and AI tools manipulate imagery and differentiate between authentic and sponsored content. All equipment is provided by us. Parents are sent links to online portfolios so they can view, read about and download the films made in class. Our policy is to fast-track beginners in the basics and to challenge more experienced students with new and exciting media projects.

Sewing Club (Group 4-7)
15:15 - 17:00
februari 25 - juli 01
Club: Sewing Club (Group 4-7)
Kosten: €343,00
At SEWING CLUB we make a variety of items that teach hand-sewing in a fun and creative way for both girls and boys.
We will be embarking on a series of projects that reflect the children’s abilities, from beginners to those with some previous sewing experience. There are many fun projects to choose from that really inspire their creativity. Exploring basic sewing techniques whilst making useful presents, decorative and practical items.
The tactile nature of sewing helps strengthen the child’s hand eye
co-ordination and the nature of the sewing projects provide the children with a vehicle for personal and creative expression. I’ll also be encouraging them to continue their work outside of the club so that they develop a productive activity to engage in in their free time to create independent work. All equipment and supplies will be provided.
The students can keep and take home the items they make at the club.
Kate is a well organised, experienced leader and teacher. Kate began her love of making at an early age and as a small child was often found making clothes and rooms/shops/furniture for her dolls rather than 'playing' with them. She continued this love of making and designing through to a BA (hons) degree in fashion and textiles at the University of Westminster. After many years of working in the fashion industry in London Kate now runs a successful children's interiors brand specialising in organic cotton bedding made with her own print designs. You can find out more about this at
www.moozlehome.com
Kate loves to encourage creativity by inspiring young people to learn a new skill and see where their creativity can lead them.
Everything starts with design. Thinking through an idea, drawing your design, making a pattern, realising the design in 3D, problem solving, creating it and having a finished item to hold in your hand is a valuable life tool.
